Groundwater levels remain high. At Lopcombe Corner, the level has fallen by 2m in the last week. At West Tytherley, the level has fallen by 12cm, and at Pitton by 40cm. Over the last week, 28mm of rain was recorded at Broughton. In Pitton, residual water may be affecting cellars and roads, and sewerage network impacts may still be occurring. In West Tytherley village, cellar, land and road flooding is expected to be ongoing, and septic tanks will be struggling to operate effectively. From Tuesday (07/05/2024) to Saturday (11/05/2024), high pressure with more settled, drier weather is expected across Hampshire. We expect groundwater levels to carry on slowly falling. We continue to monitor the levels and forecast. If you have pumps to help reduce water levels, please ensure that they are operational. This Flood Alert will be updated by 18:00 on Tuesday 14/05/2024.
