This is a flood alert update. High river levels and further forecast rain may lead to flooding. Flooding is possible on 28 January 2026 . Areas most at risk include tributaries between Ringwood and Christchurch. Flooding is possible as river levels react to rainfall, and low lying land and roads near rivers particularly around Ringwood Old Cottage may be affected. There is forecast to be some further rain tonight but improving tomorrow. We are closely monitoring the situation . Consider activating any flood protection products you may have and do not attempt to walk, cycle or drive through flood water. This message will be updated by 4:00PM on 28 January 2026 or as the situation changes.
