Flood Warning: River Parrett (upper) from South Perrott to Thorney

Rising river levels have risen as a result of overnight rain. Flooding is expected from the early hours of 27 January 2026 . Flooding is forecast to affect locations near the River Parrett, with low lying land and roads expected to be most affected, particularly around the River Parrett downstream of Gawbridge, the A356 at Chiselborough, the Norton Sub Hamdon to Stratton road and Parrett Works near Martock. We are closely monitoring the situation . Start acting on your flood plan if you have one and activate any flood protection products you may have.
