High river levels are expected to cause flooding today.

Flooding is expected on 27 January 2026 .

Heavy rain falling in the area will continue throughout the day.

Properties and low lying areas will start to flood from around 02:00AM on Tuesday. The main areas of concern are Stoney Bridge, Church Street and low lying parts of the A3052 Cotford Road including Sidbury Primary School in Sidbury; and Packhorse Close, Hamilton Close and low lying parts of the A3052 Church Street around Sidford Bridge in Sidford. Flood waters may be deep and fast flowing in these areas.

River levels are forecast to be at their highest between 02:00AM and 08:00AM.

We are monitoring rainfall and river levels .

Never drive through flood water, just 30cm of fast flowing water is enough to move your car .Start acting on your flood plan if you have one.

This message will be updated by 3:00PM on 27 January 2026 or as the situation changes.
