High river levels are expected to cause flooding overnight.
Flooding is expected from the early hours of 27 January 2026 .
Prolonged heavy rain is forecast throughout Monday evening and into Tuesday.
Properties and low lying areas will start to flood from around 02:00AM on Tuesday. The main areas of concern are Chard Junction - including the Three Counties Public House, Creamery and Broad Bridge areas, Broom, Wadbrook, Axe Farm, Weycroft - including Coaxden Cottages, Weycroft Mill and properties on the A358 around Weycroft Bridge
B3165 at Mosterton and Clapton . Flood waters may be deep and fast flowing in these areas.
River levels are likely to remain high throughout the morning.
We are closely monitoring the situation .
Take care and avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water . Activate any flood protection products you may have.
