Rising river levels overnight may lead to flooding.

Flooding is possible from the early hours of 23 January 2026 .

Locations most affected will be low lying land and roads near rivers.

We are closely monitoring the situation . We are not currently planning to close the floodgates in Morpeth.

Avoid using low lying footpaths and any bridges near local watercourses .
