River levels are forecast to rise at the Tern - Walcot river gauge as a result of further rainfall in an already saturated catchment. Consequently, flooding of roads and farmland is forecast to begin between 11pm today, Friday 22/11/19 and 1am tomorrow, Saturday 23/11/19. Flooding could affect low lying land and roads adjacent to the river from Wolverley to Newport. Other locations that may be affected include Market Drayton, Wem and Rodington. We expect river levels to remain high throughout the weekend. We are closely monitoring the situation. Please avoid using low lying footpaths near local watercourses and plan driving routes to avoid low lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded. This message will be updated by 8am on Saturday 23/11/19 or as the situation changes.
