River Severn, River Vyrnwy

Warning added: 07:57, 20th November 2019

River levels remain high but are now falling steadily at the Cae Howel river gauge. Consequently, the risk of flooding is reducing. Flooding is still affecting some low lying land and roads adjacent to the river from the Welsh border at Llawnt to Shrawardine near Shrewsbury. Other locations that may be affected include Maesbrook and Melverley.
River levels are falling, but still pose a flood risk. No further rainfall is forecast until Friday.
We are closely monitoring the situation. Please plan driving routes to avoid low lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded.
This message will be updated by 5pm today, Wednesday 20/11/19, or as the situation changes.
