High river levels today may lead to flooding. 

Flooding is possible on 13 March 2026 . 

Areas most at risk are low-lying agricultural land and roads around Pinxton, including the Pinxton Wharf access road, Langley Mill, Ilkeston, Stapleford, and the recreation area at Sandiacre. Light rainfall is forecast over the next 24 hours. River levels at Shipley Gate Gauge have peaked and remain steady. 

We are closely monitoring the situation . 

Take care and avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water .
