Rising river levels are expected to cause flooding today.

Flooding is expected on 16 February 2026 following heavy rainfall.

Areas most at risk are properties at The Waterings, and St. Johns Avenue in Braintree, and Bridge Street and Guithavon Valley in Witham.

We are closely monitoring the situation.

Take care and avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water.
