Flood Warning: The River Stour from Sudbury to Stratford St Mary and Dedham

High river levels today may lead to flooding. Flooding is possible on Sunday 11th January 2026. River levels are high following heavy rainfall from Storm Goretti. Areas most at risk are riverside areas of the River Stour between Sudbury and Dedham. In Langham, local roads are prone to flooding and cars may become stranded on Sky Hall Hill Road, Wick Road and Lower Farm Road. We are monitoring rainfall and river levels and are not expecting the situation to escalate. Avoid using low lying footpaths and any bridges near local watercourses. This message will be updated by 10am Monday 12th January or as the situation changes.
