Flood Warning: River Lambourn and its tributaries from Upper Lambourn down to Newbury

High river levels may lead to flooding in some places.



River levels are high on the lower sections of the River Lambourn and on the Winterbourne stream. Flooding of low lying land and roads is expected to continue today, 23 March 2026, especially in the Shaw area. The forecast is for a dry day today. We expect river levels to fall gradually over the coming days.



We are monitoring rainfall and river levels. Avoid low lying footpaths and roads near rivers, which may be flooded. Go to River Levels Online for updates on current river levels.
