"Rising river levels overnight may lead to flooding.

Flooding of low lying land and roads is expected to continue today, 12 December 2025, particularly in the areas of New Botley close to the Botley and Bulstake streams, and along the River Thames in the Wolvercote area. The forecast is for bands of rain particularly through the morning, some of which may be heavy. Rainfall totals are not expected to be significant. River levels are now stabilising through Oxford. We expect river levels to remain high over the coming days.

We are monitoring rainfall and river levels.

Avoid low lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded.
