Flood Warning: Groundwater flooding in Pitton, West Tytherley, Nether Wallop and Broughton

Groundwater levels remain high. The level at Lopcombe Corner peaked on Friday 12/04/2024 and has since fallen by 15cm. At West Tytherley, the level remains relatively stable. In Pitton, we expect cellars and roads in the High Street and Townsend to be affected, and the sewerage system continues to be affected. We expect properties in Nether Wallop to be affected by cellar flooding. In West Tytherley, we expect flooding to cellars, roads and land, and a small number of properties will be experiencing internal ground floor flood impacts. Today 15/04/2024, light rain (up to 8mm) is forecast in Hampshire. From Tuesday 16/04/2024 to Friday 19/04/2024, the weather is expected to be mostly dry. Groundwater levels at Lopcombe Corner will continue to fall. At West Tytherley, levels will remain initially stable, but are expected to begin slowly falling either later this week, or early next week. We continue to monitor the levels and forecast.
