Groundwater levels in Bishops Sutton are high and very slowly falling. In the last week, the level has fallen by 3cm. We expect properties in Bishops Sutton to be experiencing cellar flooding. Roads (such as the B3047) will be flooded, and impacts to septic tanks are ongoing. We expect a small number of properties will be experiencing internal ground floor flooding. Rain is forecast to affect Hampshire from today (25/04/2024) to Monday 29/04/2024, with some heavy spells possible over the weekend. It is possible that between 20 and 50mm of rain could be recorded during this time. Groundwater levels are expected to remain relatively stable over the next week and could rise slightly after this week’s rainfall. We continue to monitor the levels and forecast. If you have pumps to help reduce water levels, please ensure that they are operating. This Flood Alert will be updated by 18:00 on Thursday 02/05/2024.
