High river levels are expected to cause flooding over the next three days.
Flooding is expected on 02 February 2026 , due to a combination of high river flows and tide levels.
High tide at Southampton is forecast at 23:30 02/02/2026 and 02:00 03/02/2026. The water level is expected to be 4.84 metres Chart Datum (2.10 mAOD). Flooding will affect the access road and car parking areas near the White Swan Pub and car garage at Mansbridge. Water may be forced up through the floor of the Pub. Riverside Park will also be flooded. Levels may also be very high at Gaters Mill. Tuesday morning's tide at 11:45 03/02/2026 will be 20cm higher. Flooding impacts will be more extensive. More rain is forecast and so flows in the River Itchen will stay high. Please remain prepared.
We are liaising with emergency services and local authorities . Southampton City Council are operating the sea door at Woodmill.
Activate any flood protection products you may have . Including defences around the White Swan pub.
