Flood Warning: Lower Arun

The River Arun is high following weeks of rain. Flood impacts will continue to affect the A29, gardens of properties on Lower Street and Swan Corner, Pulborough and Bridge Cottages, Greatham. Over high tides (12:15 03/02/2026, 01:00 and 13:00 04/12/2026) water will be high up banks near Houghton Bridge, Amberley, near St Edmunds Cottage, Houghton, and may affect Queen Street riverside properties, and Mill Road car park Arundel. Rain is forecast to stop by 21:00 03/02/2026. Only isolated showers are predicted Wednesday. River levels should begin to fall in Pulborough by 15:00 03/02/2026, but will not fall far, and are likely to rise a little Wednesday. More rain is forecast Thursday and Friday. River levels in Pulborough could continuing rising Thursday and Friday, when property flooding could be possible in Pulborough. Our pumps in Pulborough are running to help reduce flood risk.
