Flood Warning: Lower Stour from Sturminster Marshall to Christchurch

High river levels are expected to cause flooding today. 

Flooding is expected on 02 February 2026 . 

Lower Dorset Stour river levels remain high following recent rainfall but are slowly falling. The weather remains unsettled and further showers are forecast tonight. Flooding is affecting Redhill and Wheatplot Home Sites, and surrounding properties. We are liaising with emergency services and local authorities and continue to monitor the situation. Continue to activate any flood protection products you may have and acting on your flood plan if you have one. 

We are closely monitoring the situation . 

Take care and avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water .
