The River Tone at Currymoor Pumping Station is still high. It is fluctuating marginally above and below the Alert level (Hookbridge Spillway) due to the high tide sequence and flows from recent rain. The River Tone level at Currymoor pumping station is 7.41m and falling slightly. Water enters Currymoor via Hookbridge spillway if this level exceeds 7.45m. The drain level at Currymoor pumping station is 4.99m and rising slowly. Cutts Road floods if this level is above 5.75m, and New Road floods if it is above 6.18m. We are unable to pump while the Tone is full. Moderate rain today, Sunday 07/12/2025, may bring flows from upstream and keep the Tone at Alert level. A band of heavy persistent rain is forecast from Monday evening through to about midday on Tuesday, which will cause further impacts. We are monitoring rainfall and river levels. We will resume pumping when river levels allow. Take care and avoid driving through flood water. Refer to the local authority website for any local road closures.
