The River Tone level at Currymoor Pumping Station is 7.70m. Water will enter Currymoor via Hookbridge spillway if this level exceeds 7.45m. The Drain level at Currymoor Pumping Station is currently 7.72m. Cutts Road and New Road are both closed. Water is flowing out of Currymoor over Athelney Spillway and the A361 is also closed. There is a risk of water overtopping Haymoor flood storage area and affecting Curload and Stan Moor if the Drain level reaches 8.30m. For the latest river and drain levels refer to https://check-for-flooding.service.gov.uk/river-and-sea-levels. We are pumping at Northmoor and Saltmoor, and additional pumps are operational at Northmoor. Further rain is forecast throughout Friday and Saturday. Rainfall will mainly be light but there is the potential for periods of heavier downpours and blustery conditions. We are monitoring the situation closely and staff are checking flood banks, spillways and weed screens. Please avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water. This message will be updated by 1PM on 31/01/2026 or as the situation changes.
