Flood Warning: River Yeo and Parrett, Bridgwater to the Coast

River levels remain high on Sunday 1st February. Areas most at risk include locations near the River Parrett and Kings Sedgemoor Drain. Low lying land and roads are expected to be most affected, particularly low-lying areas west of the M5 to the coast, including Bridgwater and Chilton Trinity. The current rain will clear later this afternoon, and it will remain dry until another band of rain arrives early Monday evening, continuing to Tuesday afternoon.

We are closely monitoring the situation and Field Teams are out clearing debris screens and checking rivers for blockages. Take care and avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water. Remain aware of local water levels and weather conditions and don’t put yourself or others at risk.
