Flood Warning 122WAF937
Lower River Swale
Warning added: 11:31, 16th March 2018
Last Updated: 16:13, 16th March 2018
This flood alert remains in force due to rising levels on the lower River Swale as a result of recent rainfall. Levels at Maunby are now currently above 3m and are forecast to peak between 3.4 and 3.5m on Friday evening. Levels downstream at Crakehill and Myton-on-Swale will continue to rise slowly overnight. Further outbreaks of rain and snow showers are forecast over the next 24hrs but we do not anticipate this to cause any further significant impact, and we should see levels starting to fall over the weekend. We will continue to monitor the situation. Please continue to check the GOV.UK website for current river levels and more detailed weather forecasts from the Met Office.
