High tides, strong winds and large waves are expected to cause flooding throughout the evening.
Flooding is expected from 1:00AM to 3:00AM on 05/04/2026.
Potential flooding due to high winds from Storm Dave, subsequent tides not expected to have any impacts. Areas most at risk include beachfront properties at Coulderton, Nethertown and Braystones. Low lying properties at Saltcoats, Ravenglass, A595 at Muncaster Mill Bridge and the Esk Estuary. We have closed flood gates at Ravenglass.
We are closely monitoring the situation and closing flood gates where necessary.
Avoid coastal footpaths, which may be flooded .
