Derwentwater lake level has risen following overnight rainfall. Consequently, flooding of low lying land and roads is expected to continue. With further rainfall forecast today the lake will remain above the Flood Warning level before it begins to slowly fall this afternoon and overnight 20/02/2020. Low lying areas bordering the shores of Derwentwater and the frontage of the Keswick Camping and Caravan Club Site will continue to be affected. Please avoid using low lying footpaths near local watercourses. We are closely monitoring the situation. This message will be updated this afternoon, 20/02/2020, or as the situation changes.
