Flood Warning: Irish Sea from New Brighton to Hoylake

We do not anticipate the next high tide later this evening, 25 October 2026, to meet the flood alert threshold. However, flooding is still possible from 10:30 PM on 25 October 2026.



Locations most affected by spray overtopping will be low lying land and roads at the head of the Wirral from Hoylake to New Brighton, including parts of Leasowe and Wallasey. We do not anticipate the next high tide tomorrow afternoon, 26 October 2026 to meet the flood alert threshold. We are expecting higher than normal high tides over the next 2 days, and a result, we may issue further flood alerts and flood warnings.



We are closely monitoring the situation.



Avoid coastal roads, footpaths and carparks, which may be flooded.
