Rising river levels are expected to cause flooding today. 

Flooding is expected on 28 February 2026 . 

River levels are rising sharply at Polesworth and will continue to do so through Saturday afternoon and evening. As a result flooding is possible along the River Anker.

Flooding may affect properties and roads in the Tamworth Town Centre area including Stationfields Park Homes, Amington Road and Moor Lane. 

We are monitoring rainfall and river levels . 

Stay away from floodwater - it contains hidden dangers such as open manhole covers, sewage and chemicals . Activate any flood protection products you have.
