Flood Warning: River Soar at Cotes and Loughborough Moors

Rising river levels are expected to cause flooding this evening. 

Flooding is expected on 28 February 2026 from approximately 10PM. 

Areas most at risk are Nottingham Road, Moor Lane, Cotes Road and George Road in Loughborough. Cotes, Loughborough Moors and Quorn including the B675 Quorn to Barrow Upon Soar road. Light rainfall is forecast over the next 24 hours. River levels at Pillings Lock Gauge will rise until tomorrow afternoon, 01/03/2026. Levels will remain high until Monday, 02/03/2026.
