Rising river levels are expected to cause flooding today.

Flooding is expected from the morning of 17 December 2025 .

Areas most at risk are Thrussington Mill, including Station Road, and isolated properties on Brooksby Road and Hoby Road. Further rainfall is forecast this afternoon, 17/12/2025, and tomorrow, 18/12/2025. River levels at Frisby on the Wreake Gauge are rising rapidly due to the nature of the catchment. Levels will remain high until the afternoon of 18/12/2025.

We are closely monitoring the situation .

Move family, pets and cars to safety and turn off gas, electricity and water if it is safe to do so .

This message will be updated by 5:00PM on 17 December 2025 or as the situation changes.
