Forecast rising river levels overnight may lead to flooding.

Flooding is possible on 29 November 2025 .

Areas most at risk are low-lying agricultural land and roads around the tributaries of the Rivers Derwent, Wye and Noe in North Derbyshire including Grinds Brook, Peakshole Water, Bradwell Brook, Stoke Brook, Bar Brook, Tideswell Brook, Warney Brook, Bentley Brook, Via Gellia and Lea Brook. Rainfall is forecast over the next 24 hours. River levels at Castleton Peakshole Water Gauge will begin rising in the morning of 29/11/2025.

We are closely monitoring the situation .

Avoid using low lying footpaths and any bridges near local watercourses .
