Forecast rising river levels today may lead to flooding.

Flooding is possible on 26 June 2026 in the early hours of the morning.

Areas most at risk are low-lying agricultural land and roads around the tributaries of the Rivers Derwent, Wye and Noe in North Derbyshire including Grinds Brook, Peakshole Water, Bradwell Brook, Stoke Brook, Bar Brook, Tideswell Brook, Warney Brook, Bentley Brook, Via Gellia and Lea Brook. Thunderstorms are forecast over the next 24 hours. River levels at Ashford Hall Rain Gauge Gauge may rise rapidly due to the nature of the catchment and thundery rain.

We are closely monitoring the situation .

Don't put yourself or others at risk .

This message will be updated by 8:00AM on 26 June 2026 or as the situation changes.
