Flood Warning 053WAF117BED

Barlings Eau, Duckpool Catchwater

Warning added: 09:25, 19th November 2019

no adsremove ads

River levels remain high on the Barlings Eau, Stainfield Beck and Duckpool Catchwater. We are aware of a breach on the left bank of the Barlings Eau near Short Ferry. Short Ferry Road remains flooded and impassable and large areas of farmland are currently flooded. It will be several days before levels in the Low Barlings area and River Witham fall sufficiently enough for floodwater to be pumped back into the rivers. Stay safe and be aware of your local surroundings. Do not walk on flood banks and avoid contact with flood water. We are closely monitoring the situation. This message will be updated on Wednesday 20th November, or as the situation changes.
