Flood Warning: The tidal River Yare from Thorpe St Andrew to Breydon Water

Tide locking where high tides restrict normal drainage of the river out to sea, today may lead to flooding. Flooding is possible today, Monday 27th October, and overnight tonight. We expect to see high water levels in Brundall and Reedham riverside areas. There is a tide surge today which will delay river levels returning to normal. The tidal forecast is improving, and we expect levels to start returning to normal over the next two days. We are closely monitoring the situation. Avoid low lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded. This message will be updated by 10:00am tomorrow, Tuesday 28th October 2025, or as the situation changes.
