Flood Warning: Groundwater flooding in Deane and Ashe in North Hampshire

Groundwater levels in Deane and Ashe are high but slowly falling. At the borehole in Oakley, the level peaked on Saturday 14/03/2026 and has since fallen by 7cm. Flooding could affect the ability of septic tanks to operate effectively. Dry weather is forecast from Wednesday 18/03/2026 to Sunday 22/03/2026. River levels and flood risk are likely to remain for weeks. We are closely monitoring the situation.
