Flood Warning: Groundwater flooding in Finchdean, Dean Lane End and Rowlands Castle

Groundwater levels in Finchdean, Dean Lane End and Rowlands Castle are high and relatively stable. We expect a small number of properties in the valley are experiencing cellar flooding impacts. Road flooding and sewerage system impacts are occurring. During heavier rainfall events, surface water may flood property. From today 17/04/2024 until Sunday 21/04/2024, minimal rain is forecast. Groundwater levels are expected to begin slowly falling during the next week. However, minor flooding impacts are likely to continue affecting the area throughout April. We continue to monitor the levels and forecast. If you have pumps to help reduce water levels, please ensure that they can operate. This Flood Alert will be updated by 18:00 on Wednesday 24/04/2024.
