Flood Warning: Tidal areas of Littlehampton Rope Walk

High tides on Friday may lead to flooding. 

Flooding is possible for 2 hours either side of Friday's early morning tide at 03:00 on 09/01/2026. 

Storm Goretti increases tide table values by 0.83 m. Total forecast tide is 6.29 metres Chart Datum (3.24 mAOD) at Littlehampton. Gale Force 8 North Westerly wind. Water will be high up slipways and could flood roads through drains. If the tide comes in a little higher than we are predicting, a small amount of water could flow through The Shipyard and Boat Yards, and onto Rope Walk. With shallow depths of water potentially affecting properties of, and near, North Park. Friday's tide at 15:15 09/01/2026 is forecast to be 102 cm lower (2.22 mAOD). Subsequent tides will continue to reduce.
