High spring tides this evening may lead to flooding.

Flooding of roads and low lying land is possible, property flooding is not expected.

Highest tide level is expected to be at the coastline between Gore Point and Hurlstone Point, including Porlock Weir, at 7:45 PM on 07/10/2025. Flooding is possible an hour and a half either side of this time.

Further flood alerts may be issued due to higher than normal tides, but flooding is not expected tomorrow morning.

We are closely monitoring the situation. Be careful along beaches, promenades, coastal footpaths and roads as large waves and sea spray could be dangerous.

The detailed tidal forecast, for those who use it, is for a peak level at Hinkley Point of 6.52 mAODN at 7:45 PM on 07/10/2025, with Westerly force 3 winds, gusting Force 4. (mAODN is height above average sea level.)

This message will be updated by 1:00 PM on 08/10/2025, or as the situation changes.
