Bristol Channel - TIDAL WARNING

Warning added: 17:34, 28th January 2020

There is the possibility of waves to overtop sea defences at Porlock Weir with sea spray as a result of high tides and strong winds. Forecast high water is 21:00 on 28/01/20 and the forecast tide level is 5.23 m AOD. The forecast wind is Force 7 Westerly. Tide times are in local time and refer to the high water time at Hinkley Point. Flooding to roads and farmland is possible at these times, however conditions may apply two to four hours either side of the high tide. We believe there is a possibility of flooding for the coastline between Gore Point and Hurlstone Point including Porlock Weir.
We do not expect the spell of very strong winds to continue for the high tide on Tuesday morning.
