Flood Warning 122WAF976

Burstwick and Keyingham Drains

Warning added: 09:40, 20th November 2019

no adsremove ads

This flood alert remains in force due to continuing high levels on Burstwick Drain at Burstwick Hall Road Bridge, Keyingham Drain near Stone Creek, and on Old Fleet Drain. This is following recent heavy rainfall. Levels on all watercourses are likely to remain elevated during Wednesday 20/11/19 and for the next few days. Levels continue to respond to rainfall which is further slowing the rate of drainage. Please avoid using low lying footpaths near local watercourses and avoid driving through any floodwater. Our incident response staff are monitoring the situation closely from the incident room. We have operational staff operating pumps at Salt End, Burstwick Clough and Lords Clough and clearing trash screens. This message will be updated on Wednesday afternoon 20/11/2019, or as the situation changes. See the GOV.UK website for a 5 day flood forecast.
