River levels are falling at the Bollington Mill river gauge. Further rain is forecast overnight and into tomorrow which will cause river levels to rise again tomorrow 16/1/21. We believe there is a possibility of flooding for low lying land and roads around the Rivers Bollin, Dean and Pedley, Birkin and Mobberley Brooks and their tributaries there is also the potential for flooding upstream of the Water Street, Palmerston Street and Foundry Street in Bollington (Near Macclesfield).
Our incident response staff are monitoring river levels and will issue further updates where necessary. This message will be updated by midday tomorrow, Saturday 16th January, or as the situation changes.
