Rising river levels are expected to cause flooding overnight. 

Flooding is expected on 31 August 2026  

Areas most at risk are the Sherwood Forest Caravan Park and properties near Kings Clipstone. Further rainfall is forecast over the next 12 hours. River levels at Mansfield The Dykes Gauge will rise rapidly due to the nature of the catchment. 

We are closely monitoring the situation & monitoring river levels and rainfall. 

Monitor local water levels and weather conditions & move family, pets, and cars to safety if it is safe to do so.
