Flood Warning: River Wreake in Leicestershire

Forecast rising river levels overnight may lead to flooding. 

Flooding is possible on 06 December 2025 . 

Areas most at risk are low-lying agricultural land and roads including Mill Lane and Water Lane at Frisby on the Wreake, Rearsby Road at Thrussington, Broome Lane at Ratcliffe on the Wreake and Station Lane at Ashfordby, and farmlands at Frisby, Hoby, Brooksby, Thrussington, Ratcliffe, Syston, Leicester Street in Melton Mowbray and the A607 at the Melton Mowbray junction. Heavy rainfall is forecast over the next 12 hours. River levels at Frisby on the Wreake gauge may rise rapidly due to the nature of the catchment.
