River levels have fallen at the river gauges at Lowdham and Lowdham Grange following recent rainfall and snowmelt. These levels are however expected to rise again throughout tomorrow, Saturday 16/01/21 as a result of forecast rainfall. Areas remaining at most risk are low-lying agricultural land and roads around the River Greet, Potwell Dyke, Dover Beck, Cocker Beck, Thurgarton Beck and other nearby tributaries of the River Trent. Flooding of properties is not forecast at this point. We expect river levels to remain high throughout tomorrow, 16/01/21. The rainfall forecast on Saturday 16/01/21 is expected to last until midday. Please avoid using low-lying footpaths near local watercourses and plan driving routes to avoid low-lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded. We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are patrolling watercourses in the area. This message will be updated daily at 18:00, or as the situation changes.
