Forecast rising river levels this evening may lead to flooding.
Flooding is possible from the evening of 02 May 2026 .
Areas most at risk are low-lying agricultural land and roads around the tributaries of the River Trent in Nottinghamshire, the River Greet, Potwell Dyke, Dover Beck, Cocker Beck, Woodborough Brook, Ouse Dyke, Thurgarton Beck and others. There is a decent likelihood of heavy localised rainfall beginning at 17:00 and continuing overnight and through tomorrow morning. River levels at Woodborough Gauge may rise rapidly due to the nature of the catchment
We are monitoring rainfall and river levels .
Avoid low lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded & avoid using low-lying footpaths near local watercourses.
This message will be updated by 10:00AM on 03 May 2026 or as the situation changes.
