Property flooding is not currently expected.
River levels are still high on the River Kennet, particularly in the Knighton area but are now falling slowly. Groundwater levels in the area also remain high. Therefore, flooding of low-lying land, footpaths and roads is expected to continue.
The weather forecast (29/01/20) is for a dry day, however there are showers forecast for tomorrow and further rain for Friday.
We are closely monitoring the situation.
Please refer to the 'River and Sea levels in England' webpage for current river levels and avoid using low lying footpaths near local watercourses.
This message will be updated this evening, 29/01/20, or as the situation changes.
