River levels remain high today on the River Mole.
Flooding of low lying land, footpaths and roads close to the river remains possible throughout today 19 December 2025, and may continue overnight into Saturday, 20 December 2025.
River levels between Kinnersley Manor and Dorking are high, but are expected to fall throughout today. Further downstream between Leatherhead and Cobham, river levels are rising steadily and are expected to remain high overnight into Saturday.
After the heavy rainfall cleared yesterday evening, Thursday 18 December 2025, weather conditions are forecast to improve over the next few days and we expect the risk of flooding to reduce gradually over this period.
We are closely monitoring the situation and monitoring rainfall and river levels. We are prepared to issue Flood Warnings if required.
Avoid using low lying footpaths and any bridges near local watercourses and take care to avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water.
This message will be updated by 9:00AM tomorrow, 20 December 2025 or as the situation changes.
