The Western Rother is high at Lodsbridge near Selham and Fittleworth. Flood water will continue to be in fields close to isolated Mill properties. Only isolated showers are forecast on Monday and Tuesday. River levels should continue to fall. In all communities other than Fittleworth, levels should return near to normal by Tuesday evening. However, widespread rain is forecast on Wednesday morning. If as much rain falls as is currently predicted, from 6:00PM on 18/02/2026, flooding could affect fields, rural roads, and possibly isolated properties in Liss and Sheet. From 10:00PM on 18/02/2026, flooding could affect gardens in Iping. From 6:00AM on 19/02/2026, flooding could affect isolated properties at Lodsbridge and Fittleworth. River levels should peak, and begin to fall by 12:00PM on 19/02/2026 in Liss, but not until Friday (20/02/2026) at Lodsbridge near Selham and Fittleworth. Unsettled weather could continue throughout February. Consider activating any flood protection products you may have in Lodsbridge and Fittleworth.
