High river levels are expected to cause flooding today.
Flooding is expected on 18 December 2025 .
Flooding is forecast to affect locations near the River Brue, with low lying land and roads expected to be most affected, particularly around roads in Catsham, Cowbridge and West Lydford and the B3151 Glastonbury to Meare road. Properties on Dyehouse Lane, Glastonbury at risk from the Glastonbury Millstream and overtopping forecast at Baltonsborough.
Flooding is expected from 7:30PM tonight as the River Brue continues to rise.
The rain has mainly moved out of the area although some showers early evening are possible. Drier weather is forecast for Friday.
We are monitoring rainfall and river levels clearing blockages from debris screens.
Start acting on your flood plan if you have one and avoid low lying roads and footpaths near rivers, which may be flooded.
