The flood warning remains in force for the River Derwent at Buttercrambe Mill, with further rain and snow falling on Saturday morning 16/01/2021. Consequently, there remains a risk of flooding to property. Levels on the River Derwent at Buttercrambe have fallen very slowly and are forecast to remain around 1.7m during Saturday. Our incident response staff are closely monitoring the forecast and response to this morning's rainfall. See the GOV.UK website for a 5 day flood forecast and river levels. Please avoid using low lying footpaths near local watercourses, and plan driving routes to avoid low lying roads near rivers which may be flooded. This message will be updated on Saturday afternoon, or as the situation changes.
