River levels remain high on the River Derwent. As a result, flooding is expected today Saturday 20th December 2025 and overnight.

Locations most affected will be Buttercrambe Mill at Buttercrambe Bridge. Levels are expected to remain high for a few days and fall slowly.

We are closely monitoring the situation. Take care and avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water and start acting on your flood plan if you have one.
