This flood alert remains in force due to continuing high levels on Old Fleet Drain and Holderness Drain. Levels are expected to remain high during Wednesday 20/11/19 and for the next few days. The main areas of concern are around Tower House Lane and Bexhill Avenue. Old Fleet Drain may rise out of its banks on future high tides. Levels on the Holderness Drain near Bransholme Great Culvert are also likely to remain high for the next few days, in response to recent rainfall. Please avoid using low lying footpaths near watercourses and avoid driving through floodwater. Our incident response staff are monitoring the situation closely from the incident room. We are pumping water from Old Fleet Drain into the Humber Estuary to lower the levels, employing other measures and monitoring other watercourses within the catchment. This message will be updated on Wednesday afternoon 20/11/2019, or as the situation changes. See the GOV.UK website for a 5 day flood forecast.
