Due to recent rainfall, river levels are expected to remain high into Wednesday 03/12/2025. No further significant rainfall is forecast for today or tomorrow. Areas most at risk are low-lying agricultural land and roads including Willington, Barrow upon Trent, Swarkestone, Bargate Lane and the access roads to Willington Meadows, the Twyford Village access road, Church Lane at Barrow, and Ingleby Lane. River levels at Willington Gauge and Shardlow Gauge will remain high until 03/12/2025. We are closely monitoring the situation. Take care and avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water. This message will be updated by 9:00AM on 03 December 2025, or as the situation changes.
