River levels are forecast to rise at the Whitewater Bridge river gauge as a result of heavy rainfall. Consequently, flooding of roads and farmland is possible to begin early hours tomorrow, 23/11/2019. Areas most at risk are low-lying agricultural land and roads around Mansfield, the Sherwood Forest Caravan Park at Clipstone, Edwinstowe, Ollerton, Whitewater Lane at Whitewater Bridge and West Drayton.
Heavy rainfall is forecast tonight and tomorrow. We expect river levels to rise gradually over night and into tomorrow.
We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are patrolling watercourses in the area.
Please avoid using low-lying footpaths near local watercourses and plan driving routes to avoid low-lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded.
This message will be updated tomorrow morning, 23/11/2019, or as the situation changes.
