River levels remain high in the North Kesteven catchment. These watercourses are fed by groundwater sources, which means they will remain high for many days, or even weeks after the rain has stopped. There will be some continued flooding of low lying land and roads close to rivers. Stay safe and be aware of your local surroundings. The weekend could bring further heavy rainfall, the forecast is being closely monitored. Do not walk on flood banks. Please avoid using low lying footpaths near local watercourses, and plan driving routes to avoid low lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded. We are continuing to monitor river levels and have staff in the field checking for and clearing blockages in this location. This message will be updated by Saturday 23rd November, or as the situation changes.
