The River Severn throughout Gloucestershire remains high but is now falling slowly. Consequently flooding continues. Flooding is affecting low lying land and roads adjacent to the River Severn from Tewkesbury to Gloucester. Locations that may be affected include Apperley, Maisemore and Hempsted.
Mythe Bridge and Upper Pound peaked on Saturday 16/11/19
Haw Bridge peaked on Sunday 17/11/19
Sandhurst peaked at 4.45m and Gloucester peaked at 4.1m on Monday 18/11/19.
River levels are now falling at all gauge locations.
No significant rain is forecast for the next 24hours. We expect river levels to remain high over the next few days.
We are closely monitoring the situation. Please avoid using low lying footpaths near local watercourses and plan driving routes to avoid low lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded. This message will be updated by 10am on Thursday, 21/11/19, or as the situation changes.
