Groundwater levels in the Bourne Valley are high and rising slowly. We expect a small number of properties in Hurstbourne Tarrant and Upton will be experiencing cellar flooding. In Upton, water continues to affect the main road. Impacts to the sewerage network and septic tanks are ongoing throughout the valley. From today 17/04/2024 until Sunday 21/04/2024, minimal rain is forecast. The rate at which groundwater levels are rising continues to slow, and it is likely that levels will peak within the next couple of days. We continue to monitor the levels and forecast, and have deployed the flood barrier at St Mary Bourne to manage flood risk. If you have pumps to help reduce water levels, please ensure that they are operating. This Flood Alert will be updated by 18:00 on Wednesday 24/04/2024.
